Lake Trout In this lake,
a 20 pounder is considered modest. In shallow waters, you'll catch an average of
fifty 4 - 12 pounders in any one day, plus numerous trophy catches. In deer
pockets, expect monsters of 30 lbs +. Lake trout over 50 pounds have been
recorded and captured on film
Northern Pike the Lake is
full of northerns. The "sailfish
of the north" are a lot of fun to catch. These high-finned acrobats are the
fightingest fish in the far north. You'll be surprised at the strength of these
smaller fish. Many are released in the 2.5 - 4 pound trophy range.
With camps in
different areas of the province, we have some of the best hunting you will find.
We hunt forest fringe areas as well as farmland bordering parcels of big bush
with lots of alfalfa fields, making for excellent whitetail hunting. We scout
our areas so we know game feeding & movement patterns.
What is one of the reasons for Hawkrock's success year after year? They restrict
the number of hunters booked each year. Allan's priority is big bucks, not
putting as many hunters through his territory that is allowable. 170 + bucks are taken by his guests each year because of

Northern Lights viewing is great in late August
through the winter. Or come and enjoy some snowmobiling (trails hundreds of
miles long), cross-country skiing, canoeing, or just come and photograph the
abundant wildlife in the area (moose, wolves, coyotes, deer are seen often). We
feed the deer and elk so you will get to see them up close.

Moose Hunts is an
excellent choice for group fishing trips.
Imagine being one of the first anglers to this new resort in a new area with
hundreds of miles of shoreline and dozens of lakes that have seldom been

We are situated on a peninsula at the south end of Long Lake. We are
accessible by vehicle, 36 miles north of Terrace Bay, Ontario on a well
maintained forest access road. Float plane charter service from Thunder Bay,

resort we just had to sneak away from time to time and try some fishing
ourselves.

For centuries man has hunted the vast treeless habitat of the
Central Canadian Barren Ground Caribou. You can now be part of this ancient rite
on the uninhabitaed frontier. We speak your language, take care of you, and
know what you want! Arctic grizzly, muskox, wolf, wolverine, ptarmigan hunting,
trophy fishing and
It is not uncommon to have over 7,000 caribou within 3 miles of the
main camp. 2006 and 2007 are booking up quickly with repeat hunters, so if you
want to hunt in the immediate future, do not put off your booking/reservation

Only two miles away lies the historic Caribou crossing... the only one available
to the animals in 145 miles of the Coppermine River. This assures you of
plentiful animals in the area. We expect you to see at least 1,000 caribou from
which to make a selection, and at times many more! You will be accompanied by
one of our guides, all of which are tops in their ability to field score and
assist you in any way.
It is not uncommon to see over 15,000 caribou
walked through our camp.

FANTASTIC FISHING
Across the lake from camp is an ancient Inuit ( Eskimo ) campsite, one of the
largest known! Further down the lake stand Inukshuks, the eerie stone left
behind by ancient cultures thousands of years ago! For those of you interested
in the Sir John Franklin expedition of 1821, we have located the grave of one of
his men, Mr. Hood. You will want to bring lots of film to capture your memories
and the tranquillity of the Barren-grounds, resplendent in its kaleidoscope of
autumn colors.
Picture a vibrant sunset every evening and as darkness encroaches,
the sky comes alive in a blaze of glory... the famous Aurora Borealis... the
Northern Lights. Bring lots of film to record your memories.

Fish in Lake Nipissing migrate throughout the seasons. Fish migrate
to spawn, follow bait fish, find comfortable temperatures and depth ranges, and

Cisco (lake herring), Ling, Bullhead, Freshwater Drum, and Rock Bass.

Victoria Island. The mighty arctic char live in the hundreds of lakes and

the cold, pure arctic waters can provide.
The rivers flowing into Hadley Bay and Wellington Bay offer the most spectacular
silver char fishing to be found anywhere. Char up to 25 pounds have been
caught, and you can imagine the battle they put up before succumbing to your
determination to land them. Even the smaller char will leap and twist and run
out your line a couple of times. Fly fishermen also have excellent success on
these rivers.

Our deer population is high and many record bucks are taken each
year as well as lots of respectable bucks which would make any hunter happy. We
welcome guests during the November season. We run between 20 to 30 stands and
ground blinds in different settings. We take only 18 (90% opportunity)
hunters/year and average class 145 or better.
Hawkrock
has success even in years when many others have excuses.
Bear hunting
with us will be very enjoyable and successful for you. We take spring hunters
and you will find good color phase with the average size being between 200 - 400
+ pounds. Skull size is more important that weight in determining your bear. If
a big bear is your dream then you have to look at this outfitter. Bear with
skulls over 20 inches are more the norm than the exception. In fact a 2005
hunter jumped the gun and took a 18" bear early in his hunt and this outfitter
was disappointed because his goal was for each hunter to take a bear over 20
inches. 2006 saw a new custom boat being used to access territory not available
in the past. Includes world class northern pike fishing. We specialize in bow
hunts. Excellent in our hunting territory. Price will be $4400 US
Bird hunts: we feel you will find it hard to find a better spot in Saskatchewan
then the Porcupine area. We have an extremely high population of geese and
ducks. Generally we hunt geese in the morning and ducks in the afternoon. Each
hunter can take 12 geese and 12 ducks home. Ideal if you want to bring you dog
along to give him a great workout collecting the birds. 
Arctic Grayling for the amateur or experienced angler in fast flowing
rapids will keep you entertained for hours. They love to give you a good
fight.
Walleye are plentiful as well and
fishable almost any time and place we fish; delicious
Lunker Lake Trout: on average we catch and release 40 to 50
trout per boat daily with sizes averaging 15 to 18 pounds but some come in at
40.

pounds, and ravenous Northern Pike (4 feet in length) abound in the waters of
Lake Providence. 45 miles in length it is virtually virgin fishing and will

The last frontier - there are no roads or civilization for
hundreds of miles. We call it Great Bear Lake - there is no better!
Over 100 miles inside the Arctic Circle is the Tree River.
Surrounded by magnificent buttes, the Tree River rushes to the Arctic Ocean only
a few miles down river from our camp. The Tree River is known as the best
Arctic Char River in the world, holding the current 32 pound world record. At
the Tree you can spend your time chasing the magnificent brightly colored Arctic
Char or you can have your Inuit guide take you to Cornation Gulf where you can
sit on a cliff and just gaze out over the Ocean... What a feeling!! "an oasis in

The water is very cold and relatively shallow, which makes
fishing vastly different from the lower latitudes.
This mini-lodge hosts 16 guests per week and is a perfect spot
for your private group to fish the remote waters of Great Bear. Fantastic
